Amazon Prime members in the US can regularly save on gas, but many might not even know it. Now might be the best time to jump on it—for a limited time only, fuel savings can double. The savings perk dates back to October 2024, when Amazon partnered with, BP’s rewards and fueling app earnify, allowing Prime members save 10 cents a gallon. When I was growing up in Turkey, the hallmark of a successful career was staying with one company for years, even decades. Today, that idea seems almost quaint. Mental healthcare has traditionally been based on a single relationship: patient and provider, one hour at a time on a weekly basis. The Southern-inspired fast food chain has been quietly reopening locations across the Southeast after an explosive legal battle with a franchisee had led to dozens of store closures late last year. Newly reopened Hardee’s restaurants in at least three states—Georgia, South Carolina, and Missouri—are being described in job listings as “now corporate owned,” according to recent ads posted on Indeed.com and SimplyHired. It’s a brutal hiring market for new grads. Hiring has slowed across multiple industries and competition is especially fierce given AI has recently begun to take on tasks usually associated with entry-level roles. According to a recent analysis from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the unemployment rate for college graduates ages 22 to 27 is up, hitting 5.8 percent at the end of 2025. Approximately 315.6 million new sets found their way to households around the world that year, a 6% increase from the year before. Those sets still have some life in them. Social Security’s cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) could stay at 2.8% in 2027, the same as its rate for this year. That’s the latest prediction from The Senior Citizens League (TSCL) and mirrors 2026’s COLA. If enacted in October, it would increase the average benefits check from $2,024.77 to $2,081.46—a $56.69 increase. Anthropic Labs just announced a new product for its flagship AI model called Claude Design. According to Anthropic, the new tool “lets you collaborate with Claude to create polished visual work like designs, prototypes, slides, one-pagers, and more.” The company is billing the tool as a way for non-designers to mock up visuals, and a way for designers to quickly test out a range of initial prototypes.
